Alison Williams

Alison is an empathetic and compassionate provisional psychologist, currently provisionally registered with AHPRA.

Alison has worked within the occupational rehabilitation service, where she was responsible for building and implementing treatment plans. Alison worked alongside those who had experienced trauma, depression, anxiety, and those accepting a physical injury, across such services as QLD Workcover, NSW iCare, Services Australia, and Department of Veteran’s Affairs. Prior to this, Alison worked with the NDIS, where she worked in a multidisciplinary team to monitor behavioural changes in those who had been diagnosed with schizophrenia.

Alison believes in implementing an all encompassing and holistic approach to therapy, allowing those to engage in positive changes to client’s cognition, emotions, social and physical selves. In a warm, supportive, and confidential environment. Alison works collaboratively with clients to plan a tailored intervention program and assist them in feeling empowered to overcome adversities. Alison draws on a range of practical, evidence-based psychological treatments, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.
