Rhianna Lovegrove

Rhianna is an AHPRA registered provisional psychologist currently completing the final stages of her master’s degree in clinical psychology. Rhianna’s employment history encompasses teaching from primary through to university level, behavioural support work for children with autism, scientific experimental research, and roles involving creative project management and content development.

Rhianna is an early career clinician committed to offering innovative and evidence-based interventions. Rhianna’s therapeutic experience thus far spans private practice and public health settings, which have sharpened her ability to diagnose and treat a range of mental health and neurodevelopmental presentations for clients of all ages.

Rhianna aims to enhance her clients’ self-awareness and understanding through psychoeducation and empowerment, while nurturing their readiness and motivation – guiding individuals towards actioning change.

Rhianna is particularly interested in working with complex trauma, interpersonal and familial challenges, neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g., ASD, ADHD), and adjustment to/management of chronic disease and complex medical illness.

Rhianna’s holistic approach to mental health is reflected in her concurrent role working in a multidisciplinary hospital outpatient clinic focusing on chronic pain management to support clients with complex and often multifaceted health issues including autoimmune disorders, inflammatory bowel disease, hypermobility syndromes, Dysautonomia (e.g., POTS), rheumatoid and osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, as well as chronic fatigue.

Rhianna’s approach to therapy is enriched by her background as an ex high-performance athlete, and ongoing personal experience living with chronic disease – lending a distinctive authenticity and empathy to her practice.

Rhianna aims to employ a blend of humanistic, psychodynamic, and cognitive behavioural techniques that emphasize fostering autonomy, self-respect, self-compassion, accountability, and collaboration. Rhianna believes in the potential of every individual and is passionately committed to helping those who desire to uncover theirs.
